Why most fixes take more than one visit.
The fastest fix is usually the one you have to fix again.
- Old color lifts unevenly. Every band of box dye reacts to lightener at its own speed, so one big lift makes new stripes.
- Hair has a limit per sitting. Pushing past it is how hair gets gummy or snaps. Stages keep it strong.
- The in-between still looks intentional. Each stage ends with a toner, so you’re not stuck with orange while you wait.

How much does color correction cost?
It’s quoted after we see your hair, because the same problem can take one visit or three. Text photos and your hair history, and we’ll tell you what to expect before you book.
How many sessions does color correction take?
Small fixes like brassiness or a too-warm tone are often one visit. Going from box-dyed dark hair to blonde usually takes three or more sessions about 4–6 weeks apart.
Can box-dyed black hair go blonde?
Often, yes — slowly. Black box dye is the hardest color to lift, and it rarely lifts evenly. We check how it lifts first and tell you honestly how light is realistic.
Should I try to fix it at home first?
Please don’t. Another box, a color remover or more bleach stacks a new problem on top of the old one and makes the fix longer. Text us a photo before you buy anything.
Will color correction damage my hair?
Any lightening changes hair. Going in stages and toning between visits keeps it as healthy as possible — which is exactly why we don’t rush it.
