How much does hair color cost at Curl Up And Dye?
It depends on your length, thickness and how far you are from your goal. Text a photo of your hair and the look you want, and ask for a quote before you book.
Can I go blonde in one appointment?
If you’re within about 3–4 levels of your goal, usually yes. Bigger jumps are safer in two or more visits about 4–6 weeks apart. The Color Roadmap above shows your likely path.
Balayage or highlights — which should I get?
Balayage is hand-painted and grows out soft, so it’s lower-maintenance. Foil highlights give more brightness and definition but show regrowth sooner. Many clients get a mix.
Can you fix box dye?
Yes. Box dye can leave bands of color that react differently to lightener, so we look at your hair first and map the fix before mixing anything. See our color correction page for how it works.
How long does a color appointment take?
Roughly 1.5 to 2 hours for all-over color and 2.5 to 3.5 hours for balayage or full highlights. We’ll give you a time estimate when you book.
How often will I need to come back?
Root touch-ups are usually every 6–8 weeks. Balayage grows out softer, so many clients stretch it to 10–12 weeks with a gloss in between.
